Teneka Gerido, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Master Addiction Counselor. She earned her Master of Art Degree in Professional Counseling from South University, Savannah, Ga Campus in 2011. She has over 8 years of experience with working with Individuals, Couples, Families and Other Diverse Populations. She also has experience working in: school settings, in-home, an in-patient treatment facility and with working with clients in a private practice setting. Teneka has extensive experience providing treatment for youth and at risk-youth and young adults. She specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, and substance addiction disorders. She takes a patient-centered approach to psychotherapy that focuses on meeting individuals where they are, building a strong therapist-client relationship, and working together to establish individualized treatment goals and plans.
Teneka specializes in working with children and adolescents that are dealing with anxiety, stress, trauma and behavior issues. She works closely with parents in help find proper treatment for your child while navigating the demands of every day life. Teneka provides a comfortable and inviting environment for each patient in her care.
Teneka enjoys working with patients of all ages and is currently accepting new therapy clients to begin the journey of healing with.
